The harmful gases emitted from the motor vehicles are fewer in autogas in comparison to the gasoline. That's why, the use of autogas is encouraged by the local authorities all over the world. For a liveable environment in the future, to encourage the use of LPG as an alternative automobile fuel in our country, too and to remove the barriers for the natural gas, another alternative fuel.
LPG stands for Liquefied Petroleum Gas - a mixture of light hydrocarbons that are gases at normal temperatures and pressures, but liquefy at moderate pressures or reduced temperatures. LPG used as automotive fuel is referred to as LPG Autogas. The main component gases of Autogas are propane (C3H8) and butane (C4H10). Autogas is colourless, odourless and heavier than air.
